This is a small Arab country with 3 million inhabitants on the Arabian Peninsula, on the shores of the Gulf of Oman. The standard of living here is not as high as that of its closest neighbors, but the country is rich in natural resources - there are no such mountains, waterfalls and fjords either in Saudi Arabia or in the United Arab Emirates. And diving here ranks second among the best in the world after Egypt.
The local cuisine is moderately spicy and very plentiful. Once in Oman, be sure to try fish and seafood dishes with traditional spices, especially shark meat.
The star rating of hotels in Oman corresponds to the generally accepted world classification. If you choose a vacation in Oman, you can be sure that the level of service and range of services in the country's hotels is almost as good as the level of hotels in the UAE.
