The Emirates Palace was commissioned by the President of the United Arab Emirates and was originally planned to be a government conference hall. Over time, they decided to expand it and turn it into a real hotel. The complex has a private beach with a length of 1300 meters, a helipad, an upscale spa, swimming pools and lush gardens, a marina. The interior of the hotel is decorated with 1002 Swarovski crystal chandeliers. In the heart of the palace, under a large golden dome, there is a large marble hall with balconies. The top floor is where the royal suites are located. A little lower apartments for high-ranking guests and heads of state. Angela Merkel and Tony Blair have stayed in these suites.
